The number of hospitalizations due to eating disorders among people ages 19-21.Anorexia nervosa and bulimia are major health concerns. Both disorders appear to be increasing in prevalence, and both (particularly anorexia nervosa) are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Monitoring hospitalization due eating disorders helps identify trends and needs for mental health services.
